Memorial Henri-Goldstein-Haus

POW Camp 1942-1945 in Himmelmoor near Quickborn

On the edge of Himmelmoor, on the former peat bog site, there is a small building from 1936. Initially it housed prisoners  from penal institutions and, from 1942 to May 1945, more than 50 Jewish prisoners of war for peat extraction under inhumane working and living conditions.

This building will be restored as a memorial and prepared to serve as a place of learning by Träger-und Förderverein Henri-Goldstein-Haus.
